TITLE: Customer Service Sales Agent - Spare # 500--029-10
REPORTS TO: Manager of Sales and Passenger Care
LOCATION: Spare Board - Englehart
SUMMARY:
The Spare - CSSA reports to the Manager of Sales and Passenger Care. This spare position will be required to fill vacancies over eight Ontario Northland stations between North Bay and Moosonee. When traveling, employees will be provided with on-the-road compensation in accordance with the collective agreement.
DUTIES:
- Sells ONTC bus/train and interline tickets.
- Provides bus/train fare and schedule information to the general public.
- Processes and handles incoming and outgoing Bus Parcel Express and baggage (weighing up to 75 pounds).
- Performs daily audit functions.
- Relieves Ticket Agents at various Northern Ontario stations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are fluent in both official languages (English and French).
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and have experience in providing customer service in a busy environment.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must project a positive and helpful image at all times.
- Must have experience in dealing with cash and responsibility for reconciliation for multiple transactions.
- Must have the flexibility necessary to adapt to a changing schedule and location.
- Basic computer skills a definite asset.

DEPARTMENT : Mechanical Department/Refurbishment Program

FUNCTION:
- Washing and cleaning of railway equipment, parts and shop facilities
- May include Engine Attendant & Material Handling duties including operating locomotives, trackmobiles and forklifts, turning switches, fueling, sanding and watering locomotives
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid driver.s license an asset
- Previous cleaning / labour experience an asset
- Previous railway experience an asset
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must be available for shift work

TITLE : Helpdesk Technician (Temporary- anticipated to be 90 days or less)
REPORTS TO: Helpdesk Team Leader
LOCATION: North Bay
FUNCTION:
- Provide technical assistance to Internet, Data and Telephone customers
- Work collaboratively with the Network Operations Center, Customer Service Representatives and other Ontera Team Members
- Organize work area with up to date product & service information
- Respond to customer assistance inquiries promptly and in a courteous manner
- Assist in reporting systems bugs/problems functionality; (OOSS/CMD/AFAS/etc.)
- Ensure that policies, procedures and business rules are followed
- Other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary school diploma with a 2 year Technical/Programming Diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of related work experience in Customer Service/Technical Support
- Intermediate computers skills with good keyboarding speed and accuracy (40 wpm)
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
- Strong problem solving skills and good judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Valid driver.s license an asset
