Ontario Northland has for sale approximately 20,390 lbs of mixed lead acid batteries (glass, plastic and metal cased) on 10 skids (750 lbs).   The total shipping weight is 21,140 lbs.  All is being sold “AS IS, WHERE IS”.

Sale will be F.O.B. Ontario Northland’s Stores Facility located in North Bay, Ontario

The highest or any bid will not necessarily be accepted by Ontario Northland Transportation Commission.

Terms and conditions of sale:

1. All bids must be in Canadian dollars, HST (13%) will be extra.
2. The above batteries are being sold “as is, where is”.
3. The batteries are to be removed from Ontario Northland’s premises within 10 business days of being notified as the successful bidder by ONTC.
4. Certified cheque for the full amount plus any applicable taxes is to be paid prior to the release of the used batteries.
5. The bidder will include a complete and full description of how the batteries will be reused or recycled.  Include the names and addresses of all parties, sub-contractors, and the carrier that will be picking up the batteries. The bidder will provide references in regard to their experience/expertise in moving and disposing/selling of used batteries.
6. A site visit may be conducted by Ontario Northland personnel at the bidder’s premises as part of the analysis for award.  Ontario Northland personnel will determine if the bidder has the expertise and experience to reuse and recycle the batteries in an environmentally responsible manner in keeping with corporate requirements.  All costs involved in the site visit will be at the bidder’s expense.
7. All employees, sub-contractors, carriers, etc, of the successful bidder will respect and obey all Ontario Northland requirements in regards to safety while on Ontario Northland property.
8. The act of submitting a bid to purchase the batteries signifies the acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale by the purchaser.

5. The purchaser will provide Ontario Northland with a copy of the weight scale ticket(s).

Five skids Saft battery types SRX1500P, L-307-4, & Monoblock, all Nickel Cadmium-------- 4409lbs
Three skids Surrette Railroad 8NS series 4000 believed to be Lead Acid-----2771lbs
One skid Alcad VP125ST  Ni Cad-----1050 lbs
One Skid unknown types-------1533lbs
