Car Shop Complex
Ontario Northland’s Refurbishment Division occupies a car shop complex that is 61,050 ft2 and features four lines of railway track capable of an eight station assembly line. The complex also boasts truck rebuild facilities, a component rebuild area, a fabrication (welding) shop, and full on-site storage facilities for segregated project inventories for both new and reconditioned parts.
In December 2004, we opened our new $3 million painting facility, co-located with the car shop complex. This two bay, state-of-the art building can accommodate the size of any rail car currently in operation in North America.
We offer both chemical and grit blast paint removal capabilities, in addition to exceptional levels of quality assurance relating to the final paint finish on all of our products.
