The Manager of Marketing is responsible for building, executing and delivering integrated marketing plans for the company’s revenue generating services. Responsible for competitive analysis, tactical planning, production of a variety of marketing and communications materials (including print, video & audio ads and particularly digital and social media), stakeholder management, project management and applicable budget management.


  • Campaign creation and management for Ontario Northland’s services (rail freight, remanufacturing and repair, bus and rail travel, parcel shipping, and more).
  • Build strong client relationships with operational areas, listens for opportunities, and provided recommendations.
  • Tactical planning and market research.
  • Monitor workflows with internal and external creative teams to produce videos, digital ads, print pieces and more.
  • Provide ongoing status reports of marketing activity, recommendations for optimization, and analysis of the results.
  • Place advertising and adjust campaigns and placements to drive sales, consumer demand and retention.
  • Assists with the implementation and management of third-party advertising opportunities.


  • University degree or college diploma in marketing, advertising, or business administration.
  • Five or more years of professional experience in integrated marketing.
  • Strong understanding of social and digital marketing and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
  • Strong communication skills, in particular writing and delivering presentations.
  • Strong understanding of brand management with experience in its application and providing guidance.
  • Experience with performing analysis and research
  • Valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle
