Qualified Supplier Network for Serviceable Locomotive Core Components

Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) is seeking submissions from qualified locomotive recycling facilities, salvage operators, dismantlers, used-component dealers, brokers, and other suppliers capable of identifying and supplying used locomotive core components.

The purpose of this Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) is to establish a non-exclusive Qualified Supplier Network for the potential supply of serviceable locomotive core components, including but not limited to:

• EMD 645 and EMD 710 prime movers and engine components;
• AR10, AR20 and TA17 main generators and alternators;
• Auxiliary generators;
• AC and DC traction motors;
• Wheelsets and rotating assemblies; and
• Other compatible locomotive core components.

Qualified suppliers will enter into a Master Supply Agreement and may notify ONTC when suitable components become available or respond to component-specific requirements issued by ONTC. This qualification process does not guarantee any purchases, minimum volumes, or exclusivity.
