Engineering Services for Cochrane Powerhouse Ventilation and Battery Storage

Description of Goods and/or Services - Under this project, the Consultant will provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary engineering design package for the Cochrane Powerhouse Facility upgrades, informed by the March 2026 G Architects Study and site investigations. 
Services will include the assessment and development of code-compliant solutions for ventilation improvements, battery storage and charging facilities, fire safety upgrades, eyewash and emergency shower installations, electrical modifications, and general health and safety requirements.
Deliverables will include feasibility assessments, design drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, cost estimates (Class C, B, and final Class A), and coordinated tender-ready documentation. The Consultant will also provide tendering and contract administration support, culminating in complete IFT and IFC packages, CAD and PDF deliverables, site inspection reports, and recommendations that support safe, efficient, and futureready operation of the facility.

A Mandatory Site Visit will be held at 326 Second Street (Drury Lane), Cochrane, ON, on Wednesday, August 05, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
Proponents are required to complete the Site Visit Registration Form and Release of Liability Form located at Appendix E, and return to Brinda Ranpura no later than 4:00:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
