Infrastructure Projects

Every summer Ontario Northland undertakes critical infrastructure work along the railway to ensure we meet industry safety standards and continue to provide safe, reliable and efficient transportation services to communities and businesses in the North.

Our top priority is to mitigate disruptions to communities and businesses as much as possible as this work is completed.

Track Programs. Installation of continuous welded rail, to provide smoother, faster travel.

Crossing Upgrades. Work is expected to take place over several weeks and will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Traffic delays are expected to be minor, if at all.

Temagami to Latchford

Tie Programs. Removal of existing railroad ties, replacement and alignment of new ties to ensure safe, reliable travel.

Temagami North

Track Programs. Installation of continuous welded rail, to provide smoother, faster travel.

Ramore to Matheson

Tie programs. Removal of existing railroad ties, replacement and alignment of new ties to ensure safe, reliable travel.

Ramore - Chamberlain Township

Culvert Rehabilitation. Work includes installation of new concrete box culvert
